I do like my CZ-82, which I found at a local funshow, a lot. The CZ 82 has a much smoother trigger pull. The single action weight on my particular sample is around 5 pounds. It much easier for me to shoot as the sights on the makarov are harder for me to acquire in rapid shooting scenarios versus the CZ 82. Magazine capacity is 12 rounds in the CZ compared to the Makarovs 8. There are quite a few pistols other than the true Makarov that are chambered for the 9x18 Makarov cartridge. And I'll tell you--the pins on a well used, surplus CZ-82 are about as sloppy as can be. No "drift" needed--I could get mine loose with a paper clip.
